The Canary List by Sigmund Brouwer

Twelve year old Jaimie only has one person she can go to with her problems, her teacher.
She can see things that are dark, and she runs from them. Crockett, Mr G. as Jaimie calls
him, only has one thing on his mind, to spend the anniversary of his daughter's death by
himself and by doing so getting himself drunk.Every year on the anniversary of his
daughter's death, Crockett goes on a three day drinking binge. If not for his son, Mickey,
Crockett would very likely fall into a spiral of despair and ruin. He pours his heart
into teaching troubled kids including Jaimie Piper, a twelve-year-old girl with her own
tragic past. When Jaimie comes to his house one night, running away from her foster home,
it turns Crockett's entire world upside down. Child pornography is found in his home, the
only person who can support his alibi has disappeared, and once in jail, the guards put
the word out that he is a child molester. This book starts off with a sequence of action
packed events and just draws you  right in with the plot. The story has a fast pace and
was very easy to get into. There are a lot of twists and turns and you just want
everything to come out ok, especially for the 'good guys'. It was well written with
much detail, and is sure to appeal to a varied audience.

God's Love Letters to You: A 40-Day Devotional Experience

Dr. Larry Crabb did an excellent job writing each of these love letters. The Bible is
actually a love letter to YOU, from GOD, to help you  live a peaceful, fulfilling life.
This book is split up in little love letters, each one from a different book of the Bible.
Each Letter begins with a verse that "sums up" the book from the Bible. Then, it
transitions into a love letter from God. This love letter is to be an intimate
conversation between the Lord and You, his child. Each love letter allows you to
discover love the way the Lord intended it to be. Following the letter are some questions
that really get you thinking. These questions are a guide that can be used in your own
daily devotional experience or in a small group study. Finally, each devotional ends with
a prayer that allows you to be centered and focused on the meaning behind the love letter.
I give this a 4 out of 5 star rating!

The Kissing Hand

This book shows the anxiety that our children as well as us Mothers go through, when seperated from each other. The bond of a Mother and child is the strongest, and this book is such a sweet reminder of that love. For young ones heading off to school, the world without Mother can seem very scary. This gives us a sweet idea as to a way to ease that seperation anxiety. I really love reading this with my child. Soup for the soul! Your child will love this. And if you are like me, so will you. Pick up a copy and enjoy a moment with that special someone in your life.

I received a copy of this book free from the publisher for my honest opinion.

Armageddon

This book is as exciting as any of the others, plain and simple, if you have read the previous ten then you probably have no need to read this
review. The books are that darn good that you can't stop reading them.
The imagery in this book is what makes it so good. Just picturing seeing the horses of the Apocalypse riding by you - there would be no words.
There will be no denying Christ in the end days. The bible references continue in this book and I feel the book enhances the scripture and
stays with it. I love the writing because it makes it real and the situations are believeable. The characters are well developed by this time
if you have read the series all the way through. I love the story line and it is worth the read.  With Christ's return eagerly awaited,
Tribulation Force member face the greatest trials thus far in the tribulation. In this book, we see major changes in the main characters.
It is difficult to say who will survive until the Glorious Appearing. As the Antichrist's armies mass on the plains of Meggido, the tension
is as finger-biting level. This book is definitely one of my favorites of the series. I just love how Dr. LaHaye and Mr. Jenkins take so much
scripture and turn it into a very fascinating fictional story that is highly based on truth.I loved this series, the books are exciting and
are very quick reads. Pick up the first one, i'll bet you can't put them down after that!

Soul Harvest

The vivid writing of Lahaye and Jenkins makes it possible to visually put yourself into the scene and almost experience the subject matter
firsthand.
These are great writings and do a great job
of bringing the Word of God to life in a new and vibrant manner.
This installment has enough twists and turns to keep the reader interested from start to finish.
This book matches the intensity and excitment of the prior three installments, using the environment outlined in the Book of Revelations
to tell the continuing story of Rayford Steele, Buck Williams and the rest of the Tribulation Force.
I cannot even begin to imagine what these characters are going through with not only having to experience the many grueling judgments but
also having to stand face to face with the Antichrist.
I am loving each and every one of these books. Even those who do not believe should read this series. It is action packed and will take you
through all the emotions and bring you close to the characters.
I enjoy them because they make the rapture and the prophesies of what is to come so real, the meaning of the prophesies are intrepreted by
the authors but they make sense. The characters are real and are flawed, they make mistakes, they fight for what they believe, they experience
pain and agony, happiness and joy. You want to be there with them, helping in the cause, at the same time you hope to never have to be there,
that you're taken in the rapture and not left behind. This book matches the intensity and excitment of the prior three installments, using
the environment outlined in the Book of Revelations
to tell the continuing story of Rayford Steele, Buck Williams and the rest of the Tribulation Force. This installment has enough twists
and turns to keep the reader interested from start to finish. I am loving each and every one of these books.

Nicolae

Book three in the Left Behind series:
This book in the Left Behind series is called Nicolae but Nicolae is harldy even in this book. Again, this entry in the series focuses
almost entirely on the private lives of Rayford, Buck and friends. It further details the trials that they go through after the rapture.
These books are not written to convince people of one Rapture doctrine or another. Rather, they have the message of God's love for his
people thoughout. The book follows Rayford Steele and Buck Williams as they work for Nicolae Carpathia, whom they realize to be the
Antichrist. The story has some major conflicts, and some serious tension, while still maintaining the facts and message of Revelations.
The action and suspense of this third book are mesmerizing as well as entertaining. The "evil one" is portrayed magnificently. The members
of the Tribulation Force become truly identifiable as real people.I enjoyed this book because it is a fascinating look at what COULD
happen at the end of time. How the "Rapture" will effect the global economy, politics, and families. How easily people can be deceived
and killed with kindness. It makes the reader reflect on what he or she would do in that situation. It was a very easy read, and very
entertaining. I will absolutely be reading the next in the series.

Left Behind by Jerry B jenkins and Tim LaHaye

This is a fictional account of the end times. The plot is accurately dipicted, as in the book of Revelation. Tim LaHaye and Jerry B jenkins
have did a great job theorizing what the rapture and following times will be like. I was so into this book, that I couldn't put it down!
The characters were so believable, and draw you into their lives and turmoil. It is a scary thought that this could happen, and I think
they did a great job spreading the message about the rapture. The authors did an amazing job on the debut of this series. I could see the
chaos of a world after the Rapture. I felt the fear and the confusion. I almost felt as if I was there experiencing the rapture. Even if
you have seen the movie, you really need to read the book. So much detail is left out in the  movie. I highly recommend this book to
christians and non-christians alike! This is only the first in a series , so definitely give this book a chance. You will not be
 disappointed!
